How Best Ball Works
Without giving you full details on the game itself, let’s go over the fundamentals.
- Form teams and make sure each player plays their own ball. You do not mix scores during hole-play.
- Scoring is done after each hole. Take the lowest score among the team. That is the team’s score for that hole. For example, if the you have scores for a four person team on a par-4 hole of 5, 4, 6, and 7, the score recorded is 4 for that team.
- Keep going for all 18 holes. The lowest total score wins.
Strategic Appeal
- Golfers love this game as it allows for a strategic approach. Based on your team style of play, one player can be aggressive and take risks, while another player can be conservative. It works well when team players have different skills between drivers and irons and putting. Less pressure, more fun.
